Pentagon works to avoid F-35 cost increases

A plan to avoid F-35 cost increases and schedule slips forecast by a Pentagon analysis cell should be finalized by the end of the month, according to Ashton Carter, undersecretary of defense acquisition, technology and logistics. In an interview, Carter said a joint estimate team has pinpointed areas of potential cost growth and schedule delays, and officials will work to make changes to avoid those areas.
