Reports: 787 could fly by year's end
With modifications nearly complete on the side-of-body issues that postponed a June test flight for the Boeing 787, the innovative jet appears poised to take off for the first time in late December. Static tests are currently under way, and gauntlet tests could begin by the end of November, according to press reports.
