Official: DHS must improve awareness of chemical-reporting requirements
Facilities that deal with high-risk chemicals and that are members of major trade groups are generally aware of responsibilities under the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards, said David Wulf of the Department of Homeland Security. For facilities that are not affiliated with such groups, Wulf said, DHS has "doubled down" on its work trying to inform them of their reporting responsibilities.
