Formosa Plastics nears $13M settlement over pollution charges

Formosa Plastics is in a proposed settlement that will require the company to pay $13 million because of pollution violations at the company's petrochemical plants in Baton Rouge, La., and Point Comfort, Texas. Under the settlement, the company would pay more than $10 million for emissions-reduction equipment and nearly $3 million in fines.
