Kansas has joined a Department of Veterans Affairs collaborative effort with state institutions to enhance medical services for veterans. The VA Heartland Network, which also includes Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Arkansas and Kentucky, aims to provide veterans with access to mental and general health services closer to where they live.
