Early appointment boosts attendance for cardiac rehabilitation
Setting initial cardiac rehabilitation within 10 days of hospital discharge resulted in an 18% increase in attendance at the orientation session, according to a study published in the journal Circulation. Barely 30% of heart attack patients join such a rehabilitation program after being scheduled within one to four weeks of discharge, researchers said.
