Elevated urine proteins can predict Kawasaki disease, study says
Serum and urine samples collected from 236 patients with Kawasaki disease revealed substantially higher levels of filamin C and meprin A. These biomarkers showed greater diagnostic accuracy for those suspected of having the condition than current markers, researchers reported in the journal EMBO Molecular Medicine.
