Omega-3 supplements don't lower recurrence of atrial fibrillation
Omega-3 fatty acid supplementation did not significantly reduce the recurrence of atrial fibrillation, researchers in Argentina found. The prevalence of deaths, heart attacks, heart failure or stroke did not differ between the supplement and placebo groups, according to the study in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
