Seattle tests community sites for emergency health centers
Public health officials and more than 300 health care providers and volunteers in Seattle this week ran a drill using the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall as an emergency health care center. They wanted to see if a community facility could successfully accommodate and treat the overflow of patients during a flu pandemic, earthquake or other disaster.
