FAA toughens up on pilot alcohol-related offenses

The FAA is cracking down on alcohol-related offenses involving pilots, with tougher rules for first-time offenders. Pilots found to have a blood-alcohol content of .15% or higher or who refuse to provide a blood sample will automatically have their cases referred to FAA headquarters, where they will be required to undergo a substance abuse assessment.
