Piper delays debut of new PiperJet to 2013
Piper Aircraft plans to push back deliveries of its new PiperJet from 2011 to 2013. Piper planned to debut the single-engine, very light jet in the fourth quarter of 2011 at a base price of $2.199 million. "Our successful efforts to engage a strategic, long-term ownership group coincided with a drastically weakened business environment," Piper executives state in a letter to customers.
