Secondhand smoke reaches beyond smoking zone, study shows
Airports with smoking sections cannot protect visitors from the effects of secondhand smoke, according to a study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC reported that pollution within 39 inches of a smoking-permitted area was five times greater than at smoke-free airports.
