Leaking Timor Sea well is "plugged;" fire is diminished
PTTEP Australia says a leak at the West Atlas oil rig in the Timor Sea between Australia and Indonesia has been halted after 10 weeks and five attempts to stop it. A fire that broke out during Sunday's attempt to plug the leak is nearly extinguished.
