3rd-quarter earnings beat forecasts, Anadarko reports
Anadarko Petroleum posted a third-quarter profit that exceeded estimates as rising output offset slumping prices for natural gas and crude oil. Net earnings for the company stood at $200 million, sliding from $2.17 billion during the same period in 2008.
