Drugs to prevent migraines work in half of patients, study says
Drugs to prevent migraines prevent 50% or more of the headaches in 20% to 40% of patients, but some people stop taking the medications because of side effects, according to a study in the Journal of General Internal Medicine. Dr. Jason Rosenberg of the Johns Hopkins Headache Center commented that one reason could be that the drugs were not designed for that use.
