Duncan promotes community-school model

Education Secretary Arne Duncan said the idea of community schools similar to ones in England -- where academics and social services are offered side by side -- is an important component of the Obama administration's push to make U.S. schools more well-rounded. Duncan spoke along with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair at an event Wednesday marking the release of a report by a Washington, D.C., think tank on the community-schools movement.
