California districts are using digital math, science textbooks

Six California school districts are the first in the state to use use digital math and science textbooks -- an option that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced several months ago as a way to improve learning and save money. "We're not going to say that one platform is more effective than the other," said Tom Adams, a state curriculum official. "It will all come down to how effective they are with the student and the teacher."
