The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria is seeking a greater focus on the professional standards of teachers in the country -- a move officials say will greatly improve student achievement. Registrar of the council, Professor Addison-Mark Wokocha, said such standards have been distributed to schools, along with a code of conduct for teachers.
