English lessons to be eliminated from Indonesian primary schools
Primary schools in Indonesia will stop teaching English in July, so students can focus more on their native language. Officials also have announced plans to scale back science and social studies instruction in favor of teaching students more about religion and Indonesian culture. The changes come as more students are failing national exams.
