Teachers could help close Canadian gender achievement gap
There remains an achievement gap between Canada's male and female students, officials say, with male students outperforming their female peers in maths and females excelling in reading. To close the gap, three researchers are suggesting that schools adopt policies of equality, and that teachers ensure they are being fair in allowing all students to participate equally in classroom discussions.
