Court ruling clears way for Calif. high-speed rail project to begin
A lawsuit that sought to block California from building a high-speed train along the Caltrain corridor has been dismissed, clearing the way for the state to begin construction on the project as early as July. "This is an important ruling and testament to the fact that the authority is committed to delivering the high-speed rail project in accordance with the law and in partnership with the public," said Jeffrey Morales, CEO of the California High-Speed Rail Authority. "We continue to move forward to start construction this summer and begin creating thousands of jobs."
