Researchers study topical gene therapy for skin cancer, wounds
Researchers are getting closer to developing topical gene therapies for skin cancers, chronic wounds, psoriasis and other skin diseases, says Amy Paller, chair of dermatology at Northwestern University. New genome sequencing technology will make genetic diagnosis less expensive and possibly predict individual patients' responses to new drugs, she said, speaking at the Hawaii Dermatology Seminar.
