Transportation Department to create panel to help airline industry
Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said that a new panel will develop "a roadmap for the future of the aviation industry." The announcement came late last week at the end of a daylong summit on the troubles plaguing the industry. Airline executives used the forum to urge the Obama administration to pay for a new air traffic control system.
