Siemens wins supply deal for 265-MW Calif. wind project
Siemens has finalized a deal to supply, commission and maintain 112 wind turbines for the 265-megawatt Ocotillo Wind project that Pattern Energy is building in southern California. Siemens will manufacture most of the turbine parts for the contract at its factories in Hutchinson, Kan., and Fort Madison, Iowa, said Mark Albenze, CEO of Siemens Energy's Wind Power Americas unit.
