We Energies gets FERC nod to buy Wis. wind farm for $27M
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has signed off on We Energies' planned $27 million acquisition of the 30-megawatt Montfort Wind farm in Iowa County, Wis., from FPL Energy American Wind. Once the acquisition is complete, We Energies intends to dissolve Badger Windpower, the company that currently owns and runs the wind farm, and a related power purchase deal.
