Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, said he supports an extension of the wind-energy Production Tax Credit but admitted that the tax incentive's future depends on the outcome of negotiations over the fiscal deficit. "As important as I think wind energy is, we've got a big fiscal problem here," Grassley said. However, he added that no "single energy tax incentive should be singled out over others" outside of a comprehensive tax reform plan.
