The Governors' Wind Energy Coalition held a news conference in Washington, D.C., to call for an immediate extension of the wind-energy Production Tax Credit. "We're beginning to see a negative economic impact and loss of jobs in our states" because of the lack of certainty over the PTC, said Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad, chairman of the coalition, which counts 28 governors as members.
