Congress might simplify the home-business tax credit

Many home-based business owners decline to file for a home-office deduction because the process is complicated and they are afraid it will trigger an automatic tax audit. The Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy has renewed the effort to simplify the deduction in hopes Congress will act on it this year.
