Scientists find enzyme responsible for nerve-fiber regeneration

U.S. scientists studying live rats have identified an enzyme called Mst3b that appears to play a critical role in regenerating nerve fibers, or axons. They believe the finding could pave the way for therapies aimed at treating brain and spinal cord injuries.
