AT&T has high hopes for high-def IPTV

AT&T says it will have 1 million subscribers on its U-verse IPTV service by the end of the year, giving the company added clout in negotiating with content providers. Though Dan York, AT&T's executive vice president of content, won't set a goal for HD channels similar to Verizon's promise of 150 choices, in this Q-and-A article, he says HD on demand is in the works, along with more multiplatform deals such as AT&T's current live coverage of the Olympics.
