CAC elects Spotlight Cinema Networks President Jerry Rakfeldt to board
CAC SmartBrief | May 09, 2012
The Cinema Advertising Council (CAC) has elected Jerry Rakfeldt as its newest board member. A director representing Level II members -- cinema ad sales companies that are responsible for networks under 5000 screens -- Rakfeldt has over 20 years of experience in marketing, advertising and sales. This includes eight years in Asia where he first worked for Toyota Motor Corp., and later supported Toyota’s marketing efforts in Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe while running a liaison office for the Saatchi & Saatchi Ad Agency in Tokyo. Upon returning to the U.S., Rakfeldt led the marketing for an Internet start-up and later served as chief operating officer of a Los Angeles-based advertising company. In 2007, he became the principal executive-in-charge of the Arthouse Marketing Group, the first company focused on a niche approach in the cinema advertising industry. Rakfeldt is now president of Spotlight Cinema Networks, a joint venture with Arthouse and Landmark Theatres. He joins the re-elected Mark Mitchell, Cliff Marks and Stewart Harnell on the CAC Board.
