Sony's Engle: 3-D TV can change the future of entertainment

Rob Engle of Sony Pictures Imageworks in his keynote address at the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers' Tech Conference and Expo said the industry had a unique opportunity to influence entertainment if it can take a leading role in the development of 3-D technologies for the home. "It really is a new medium," he said. "If the technologists and consumer-electronics makers come together to produce good content and present it in a good format, we really have the power to change how entertainment is perceived."
