The pros and cons of electronic recharging mats

Electronic mats such as Powermat and myGrid that recharge devices such as cell phones and GPS units when placed on top of them can be a marvel when it comes to reducing clutter. But, according to this report, the mats do not use energy as efficiently as copper wires do and they do not come cheap.
