Dart Container is a world cup winner -- not in soccer, but in foam cups and containers. It commands about half of the global market in foam cups! To make its products, Dart touts a secret molding method for expandable polystyrene. The foodservice lineup includes not just cups but lids, dinnerware, and cutlery, which is marketed through a global distribution network to hospitals, schools, and restaurants, as well as retailers. Self-sufficient, Dart builds its own molding machinery, and uses Dart trucks to deliver products from plants in the US, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, the UK, and Australia. Its recycled polystyrene is sold to manufacturers of such durables as insulation and egg cartons. Dart is family owned.
