Relatively few investment bankers think the JOBS Act has had a positive effect on initial public offerings by startups, according to a poll by BDO. Also, 80% found fault with a provision to let companies get a sense of the potential market for an IPO, saying the confidentiality from that provision makes it hard to advise their clients.
