Children given healthy snacks are sated with fewer calories
Children given a snack combination of vegetables and cheese ate about 170 calories on average before becoming full, compared with the 620 calories consumed by children who ate potato chips, Cornell University researchers reported in the journal Pediatrics. Children who were overweight or obese saw a greater effect, research showed.
