Butchering chickens made me a better boss, says pizza CEO
During college, California Pizza Kitchen CEO G.J. Hart took a job at a chicken-processing plant, eventually becoming general manager. By that point, Hart says, he'd held pretty much every role at the factory. "That was a big advantage -- knowing and living what people do every day. That allows me to understand people and help them grow," he says.
