Startup backed by Cisco debuts router for SDN
Compass-EOS has introduced the r10004 modular router, which is aimed at implementing software-defined networking technology in telecom and service provider networks. The r10004 is based on the startup's icPhotonics optical semiconductor technology. Compass-EOS has raised $120 million in private funding from Cisco Systems, Comcast Ventures and other investors.
