Moody's strips U.K. of AAA rating
Moody's Investors Service has stripped the U.K. of its AAA credit rating for the first time. Moody's lowered the rating one step, to AA1, citing the U.K.'s "high and rising debt burden" and "subdued growth." U.K. Chancellor George Osborne says he will stick with austerity to fix the nation's financial problems, despite the rating downgrade.
