Report: Travel Channel auction exceeds expectations
News Corp. and Scripps Networks Interactive have each bid about $800 million for Cox Communications' Travel Channel, exceeding the $600 million to $700 million that the network was expected to fetch, according to unnamed sources cited in this report. Cox now is expected to select one company with which it will negotiate a sale.
