Verizon Launches Prepaid Mobile Broadband Plans

Verizon Wireless has three new prepaid offerings for road warriors who want mobile broadband without a long-term data plan. The Verizon prepaid plans require the purchase of a modem and access costs $15 for a day, $30 for a week, and $50 for a month. Verizon's contracts allow more data, and Virgin Mobile offers more data for less.... (more)

Verizon Wireless is poking fun at Apple, Inc.'s iPhone with "iDon't" commercials for its DROID smartphone, but the iPhone is so entrenched the ads aren't likely to hurt sales.
