Apple's Siri, Sprint system infiltrate new GM, Chrysler models
Smartphone applications will take center stage in General Motors' new Chevrolet Spark and Sonic small cars as well as Chrysler's 2013 Ram 1500 truck and SRT Viper, according to reports from the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. Chevrolet will introduce full functionality from Apple's Siri personal assistant in those two models. Sprint Nextel is showing off its Velocity in-vehicle communications system at the show that will allow Android and iOS smartphones to control certain functions.
