Sprint opts for keyboard-equipped BlackBerry Q10 over flagship Z10
Sprint Nextel will be alone among the top four U.S. carriers in passing on BlackBerry's new Z10 touch-screen smartphone, the carrier said, adding that it prefers the lower-range Q10 model, which will feature a physical keyboard and a smaller touch screen. BlackBerry last week delivered its first major update for the Z10, which has gone on sale in some overseas markets. Preliminary sales data from Canada and the U.K. show a good number of Z10 buyers are new to BlackBerry. Separately, Yahoo said it will eliminate its BlackBerry mobile application as one of seven unsuccessful products the company will shut down.
