The prospects of getting a Google Maps application cleared by Apple for iOS devices are apparently not good, The Guardian reports, citing sources at Google familiar with its mapping plans. Those sources say they are "not optimistic" that Apple will allow its App Store customers to obtain the Google app that is said to be in development.
