Verizon Wireless will allow prepaid subscribers to buy 2 gigabytes of data -- double the previous total -- as part of an $80 monthly package with unlimited voice and texting service across its 3G CDMA network. The deal, which is part of a promotion that will run through January, applies to those who buy a new smartphone.
