Report: Sharp zeroes production focus in on iPad Mini
Sharp has reportedly shifted most of its resources to producing screens for the smaller iPad Mini device and away from the larger 9.7-inch model, a move in line with Apple's inventory needs, according to Reuters. It was not known how much seasonal factors might have accounted for the slowdown in making the larger screens, but one research firm predicts that Apple will ship 40% fewer full-size iPads in the first quarter compared with the previous period, with the iPad Mini making up much of the difference.
