Rivals join wireless, fiber nets to expand base
A pair of rival New York broadband companies will join their networks and service capabilities to expand their enterprise-customer bases by contributing complementary elements to a new mesh network, they said. Rainbow Broadband, a provider of WiMAX services via RAD microwave radio technology, will combine operations with Atlantic Metro Communications, which operates a fiber network.
