Motorola off to strong start with Droid

Initial reports from retailers show Motorola sold about 100,000 of its new Droid smartphones in their first weekend on sale, about half of what Verizon Wireless had stocked. Analysts termed the sales strong and predicted Motorola could sell a total of 1 million Android-based phones this year and 10 million in 2010.
