Sprint aims to be more competitive, trims 2,000 jobs
Sprint Nextel will trim up to $350 million in annual costs by eliminating more than 2,000 positions, including contractors, many by the end of the year, the carrier said Monday. The move, according to the carrier, is being carried out to make the company more competitive.
