Analysis: FCC will seek "middle ground" on regulation

With the new administration determined not to stunt growth, FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski will likely trod carefully before backing heavy regulation of the wireless industry, predicts an RCR Wireless columnist who says, "It would be a tough stretch to suggest Genachowski has a pre-determined goal of radical regulation." John Walls, vice president of public affairs of CTIA-The Wireless Association®, said: "The chairman has made it clear that decisions will be factually based. We think, given that premise, that we have just an exceptionally well-grounded story to tell and we absolutely look forward to it."
